Suspension RPO codes are RPO codes used to identify factory suspension packages, spring codes, and related suspension equipment on the Pontiac Fiero.

Overview

Suspension RPO codes help identify suspension-related equipment originally assigned to a Fiero.

These codes may appear on the Service parts identification label along with engine, transmission, paint, trim, wheel, tire, audio, and other factory build codes.

The RPO code identifies original factory equipment. It does not necessarily prove which springs, shocks, struts, control arms, cradle, or suspension parts are currently installed, because many Fieros have been repaired, modified, lowered, upgraded, or parts-swapped.

1988 suspension relationship

The 1988 suspension is different from the 1984-1987 suspension.

This is important when interpreting suspension-related codes, spring codes, parts compatibility, and service information.

A suspension code may identify factory build information, but the actual installed suspension should still be inspected directly, especially on cars that may have had cradle swaps, suspension swaps, lowering springs, aftermarket shocks/struts, or accident repairs.
