1987 Pontiac Fiero
1987 Pontiac Fiero was the fourth model year of the Pontiac Fiero.
The 1987 model year continued the established Fiero lineup and included several refinements before the major suspension and brake changes introduced for 1988.
Overview
The 1987 Fiero continued the mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout used throughout Fiero production.
The 1987 model year included coupe, SE, and GT variants. The fastback GT body style continued from the 1986 model year, while notchback body styles remained available on other models.
A major electrical change for 1987 was the introduction of the second-generation headlight system. This later system used a different control module and motor design than the earlier 1984-1986 system.
