Factory radio
Factory radio is an overview of original radio and audio equipment used in the Pontiac Fiero.
Factory radio equipment varied by model year, trim level, and option package. Some Fieros were also equipped with the upgraded Performance Sound system.
Overview
The Fiero was available with several factory audio configurations during its production run. These may include basic radios, cassette radios, equalizer-equipped radios, upgraded speaker systems, and the factory Performance Sound subwoofer option.
Because many Fieros have been modified over the years, the radio currently installed in a car may not be the original factory radio.

Performance Sound
Performance Sound was the factory upgraded audio option commonly known as the Fiero subwoofer option.
It included a small subwoofer enclosure under the passenger side of the dashboard and a subwoofer level slider in the overhead console/courtesy light area.
