Body conversions
Body conversions are modifications that change the exterior appearance, body style, or body-panel configuration of the Pontiac Fiero.
Because the Fiero uses a steel space frame with removable composite body panels, it has often been used for body conversions, rebodies, kit cars, custom panels, and fastback conversions.
Overview
The Fiero's exterior body panels are not the primary structural frame of the car. This makes it possible to remove, replace, modify, or redesign many exterior panels while retaining the original chassis structure.
Body conversions can range from factory-style changes, such as a fastback conversion, to full custom rebodies or kit-car projects.
